Once described in the National Press as the ‘Queen of Prints’ Orla Kiely is an eminent Irish fashion designer based in London. Her design breakthrough came when she created laminated cloth for making handbags; and her signature print ‘Stem’ is universally recognised. Known for her bright and colourful retro-inspired designs, Orla Kiely was awarded with an OBE in recognition of her services to business and the fashion industry in 2011. She draws upon childhood memories of a family kitchen with a retro vibe featuring olive green and orange, along with graphic tiles. Orla Kiely enjoys making ‘happy prints that make you smile’!
